With the theme of the Bahamas National Crest, LIS students rushed in this year's Junior Junkanoo parade on February 10th. Weather cancelled the original event on January 24th and it was rescheduled during our February break which caused a few of the LIS students to be off-island for the event. However, over 30 students were able to attend and students and parents had a great time. Students were dressed as the symbols on the Bahamian crest with boys dressed as marlins and the girls were dressed as flamingos. LIS only rushed one lap due to the number of students under the age of 6 and our stamina couldn't have lasted a second lap, however, LIS placed 4th overall in the all-school division.
