Sara is the daughter of Terry and Julie Paice. Her brother Ethan also attends LIS. Sara began her academic career at LIS in Pre-Kindergarten and will graduate from the prestigious International Baccalaureate Diploma programme in June 2020.
Sara has excelled in her academic studies holding high honor roll her entire secondary school career as well as earning the overall highest IGCSE award. Sara is also an accomplished artist and she has shared her work with the Grand Bahama community, most recently at the LIS Visual Arts Exhibition in March 2020. She has also participated in numerous extracurricular activities including soccer, volleyball, student council, yearbook, Interact, Eco Club, Model United Nations and the GGYA Bronze Award.
Sara exemplifies what it means to be an IB student, and in the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian she was involved in many community outreach projects that provided help to those in need in east Grand Bahama.
Sara will attend McGill University in Montreal, Canada where she will study towards a Bachelor of Arts and Science degree in Commerce. She was also accepted at Dalhousie University, DePaul University, University of Wisconsin, Syracuse University, University of Vermont and University of Connecticut. Sara earned an impressive $240,000 in scholarships from her acceptances!
